Scheduler:
Contract Length: 30 days
Commencement date: May 2024
2XM Recruit are currently partnered with a company  who offer a broad range of consultancy services to help organisations implement technology solutions for better transport outcomes. We are seeking a highly skilled Scheduler to join play a pivotal role in coordinating the deployment of our innovative solutions. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling and deployment of technology installations within the transport sector. Your role will involve coordinating with various teams, ensuring timely and efficient implementation, and maintaining critical systems to support our mission of transforming transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera or MS Projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Coordinate the installation/ upgrade of new ticketing system.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to optimize scheduling and mitigate potential conflicts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to align on project plans and approaches, enabling you to design and develop the project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address scheduling delays or bottlenecks to minimize impact on project timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements throughout the installation process.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project schedules, highlighting key milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues and implement solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to process improvements and optimization strategies to streamline scheduling workflows.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in scheduling and coordinating Software/hardware installations, migration/replacements preferably within the transport or infrastructure sector (e.g. Ticketing systems, CCTV, Passenger Control Systems)
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working with mission-critical systems and environments, ensuring reliability and uptime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
  • Prior experience with ticketing systems or service management platforms is highly desirable.
