2XM Recruit have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic Workshop Leading Hand for a full-time position in our Client’s state of the art workshop in Forrestfield.  

Qualifications & experience

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (HD Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or Mechanical Fitter)
• Leadership experience or a willingness to step up into a more senior role
• Extensive experience within the transport/ automotive industries working with both trucks and trailers
• Ability to read and understand service manuals and schematics
• Highly motivated, independent and technically minded
• Valid Australian driver's license
• Able to pass a Pre-employment Medical
• Full Australian working rights

 
Responsibilities:

• Assist with the supervision of day to day workshop operations
• Carry out planning of toolbox and pre-start meetings, and execute actions as designated 
• Coordinate vehicle repairs, manage bookings and ordering of parts as needed
• Support and help develop junior staff and apprentices
• Continue to maintain a positive, safety focussed environment
