2XM Recruit are currently seeking experienced Workshop Logistics Coordinator with strong forklift experience for an exciting opportunity to join our client’s team in the Perth east industrial area. Key Accountabilities for this position
  • Operate and manage the site's workshop activities, including receiving, packing, storage, replenishment, picking, loading, and dispatching.
  • Maintain the security of the warehouse within a busy heavy industry workshop and ensure no stock is removed without documentation process complete.
  • Rig up heavy goods, utilising overhead crane and manage all HSE requirements to ensure safe execution.
  • Day to day Forklift operation. You must be capable of being trained up to 15 tonne.
  • Control heavy and ugly freight (large mining motors and engines) coming in and out of teh workshop.
  • Maintain warehouse operations in accordance with HSE policies.
  • Ensure all lifting and other equipment is in good operational order and calibrated as required by completing regular workplace inspections in the warehouse.
  • Store chemicals in compliance with policy and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Utilize material planning, safety stock levels, and reorder points to ensure just-in-time material availability.
  • Maintain and update material masters as needed.
  • Inspect the quality of incoming goods for storage and ensure all paperwork aligns with materials delivered with quality control of all outgoing products from the stores
  • Complete supplier qualification processes for new or changed suppliers. Collaborate with suppliers to optimize processes in line with the company's procurement policies
  • Implement supplier inventory management processes for site consumables.
  • Proactively review and maintain stock levels based on forecasting from the workshop management
  • Support the business in raising purchase requisitions for site and business requirements. Collaborate with the purchasing team to maintain an efficient procurement process.
  • Source quotations from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability by identifying.

Capabilities required to be considered for this role:
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and supply chain management showcasing your ability to prioritise actions to meet timelines.
  • Strong Forklift experience - essential 
  • Heavy engineering industry - highly advantageous 
  • Assertive familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, plus experience using SFDC and SAP warehousing systems
  • Ability to complete High Risk - Dogman and Overhead Crane for further skilling
