In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering top-notch service support, providing a comprehensive range of engine and powertrain products for diesel-electric locomotives, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for locomotive components.
Your responsibilities will include efficiently overhauling, maintaining, repairing, testing, calibrating, and commissioning mechanical equipment and systems to meet specifications, regulations, and safety standards.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering top-notch service support, providing a comprehensive range of engine and powertrain products for diesel-electric locomotives, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for locomotive components.
Your responsibilities will include efficiently overhauling, maintaining, repairing, testing, calibrating, and commissioning mechanical equipment and systems to meet specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with both mechanical and electrical tradespersons to achieve company objectives set by the Area Manager.
- Proactively maintain an organized and safe workshop/workstation/site layout, ensuring efficient work processes.
- Proficient in working independently and effectively.
- Experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Fitter, specializing in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines, and drivelines.
- Trade Qualified.
- Engaging work approach with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Strong diagnostic capabilities.
- Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work.
- Excellent work ethic and a team player.
- Current driver's license.
- High Risk Work License – Dogging and Forklift.
- Knowledge of SAP systems.
