HSEQ Advisor – FIFO 8:6 Roster
Location: FIFO from Perth
Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 + super (based on experience)
Are you a proactive and experienced HSEQ Advisor looking for a new opportunity in a new industry? Our Rail Maintenance client is looking for an Advisor to join their growing HSEQ team, with no prior rail experience required.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with on-site operational teams and management to drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ standards and practices on site. Your focus will be on providing practical advice, leading incident investigations, and supporting continuous improvement of the HSEQ Management System across a range of rail projects.

About the Role

Your day-to-day:
- Advise and support management in implementing leading HSEQ practices
- Coach and guide operational leaders to help them meet safety targets and objectives
- Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the HSEQ Management System
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of Safe Work documentation
- Lead and coordinate incident investigations using recognised methodologies (ICAM/Taproot)
- Promote active engagement and ownership of HSEQ responsibilities by all team members
- Participate in toolbox talks and training sessions to support injury and incident prevention
- Coordinate HSEQ inspections, audits, and compliance activities
- Facilitate risk assessments across the business to proactively manage operational risks
Required Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (Diploma or PG Diploma preferred)
- Formal training or working knowledge of incident investigation techniques (ICAM or Taproot)
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a dedicated HSEQ position
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to safety leadership
- Intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Office and HSEQ reporting tools
- Ability to work with on-site teams in the mining industry
- Previous industry experience in rail, mining, construction or transportation would be looked upon favourably
