2XM is currently on the hunt for a seasoned Installation/Operations Manager in the Solar space!

General Objectives:

The Installation/Operations Manager holds a senior position within the company and is responsible for various operational functions. These include:

  • Ensuring the smooth and successful installation of residential and commercial solar PV.
  • Managing the warehouse and logistics functions.
  • Monitoring and maintaining appropriate licensing.
  • Providing comprehensive training for staff members.
  • Maintaining an effective Occupational Health & Safety system.
  • Collaborating with the Customer Service Team to establish an efficient installation schedule.
  • Overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including goods receivable and dispatch.
  • Delivering regular performance reports to Senior Management.
  • Handling direct communications with customers for complex scheduling, site inspections, and post-installation rectification work.
  • Liaising with suppliers to identify new product opportunities.
  • Offering feedback to enhance systems and processes.
  • Conducting in-depth data analysis of various Electrical Products from different suppliers.

Specific Responsibilities: Installation Team Management:

  • Directly responsible for the performance of installation teams.
  • Ensuring all jobs are adequately prepared well before installation, providing adequate technical direction, and ensuring all paperwork is completed daily.
Warehousing:

  • Managing the effective operation and safety of the company’s warehouse, including staff management and training.
Inventory Control, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management:

  • Timely receipt of all goods required for the company’s operations.
  • Designing, managing, and operating inventory management procedures and systems.
  • Negotiating item costs with suppliers and minimizing inventory shortages.
Product Selection:

  • Researching new products, product types, and technologies as necessary.
System Design and Technical Documentation:

  • Ensuring all system designs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Providing technical documentation for all projects.
Post Installation Customer Service:

  • Managing the "Technical Help Desk" and resolving post-installation issues.
Technical Training:

  • Maintaining accreditation and licensing for installers.
  • Designing and implementing training programs for installers, sales staff, and other internal staff.
Workplace Health & Safety:

  • Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards for installers and warehouse staff.

Minimum Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
  • We are seeking someone who is passionate about Renewable Energy!
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (advantageous)
  • Have completed an electrical apprenticeship and hold a valid electrical license (Or at least knowledge of Solar & Battery systems)
  • 2 - 5 years’ minimum experience in an electrical installation industry sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proven interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point).
