2XM Recruit are currently seeking an experienced Procurement /Purchasing Officer to join our client’s team in the Rail Industry based in the Eastern suburbs. Due to the rapid growth within the industry, this exciting opportunity offers the successful candidate a chance to share their expertise and have a major impact on project outcomes.

This role is to assist with the purchasing transaction for equipment, materials, supplies, capital goods and services within the Rail Industry.

This role will see the successful candidate a position within an established brand with a solid work history in WA.
 
You will be responsible for

• Process purchase requisitions/orders within purchasing authority
• Maintain existing supplier relationships and develop new relationships with potential new suppliers.
• Support in the inventory levels, creating product pricing strategies and managing operational performance.
• Strive for continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain inventory management system to ensure the correct level of products and materials are readily available.
• Ensure that the supplier list is maintained and provide additional recommendations on new potential suppliers.

To be considered for the position you will require

• Circa 5+ years in customer service and logistics environment
• Proven experience within procurement function
• Ability to adopt a solution-based approach to procurement.
• Ability to work in a fast passed environment and multitask.
• Maximo experience – Desirable
