Are you an experienced and motivated trades assistant looking for a new opportunity? We're thrilled to partner with a leading specialist tanker manufacturer in the Northern Suburbs to bring you the chance to work on their specialist team.

Why this team? Our client runs a clean workshop where safety isn't just a rule, it's a way of life. They take pride in upskilling their staff and are looking for people with a can-do attitude who are wanting stable work and ready to get stuck in.

What You'll Do:

• General trades assist tasks 
• Interpret engineering drawings and sketches 
• Apply principles and techniques of marking out 
• Identify materials and defects in materials 
• Basic lifting techniques using chains, slings, dogs and crane 
• Assemble and tack prepared steel to drawing requirements 
• Operate power tools - angle grinder, pistol drill 

 
What You Need:

• Previous experience in similar role 
• Physically fit and strong hand-eye coordination 
• Positive work ethic and great attitude 
• Able to work in a team and independently 
• Safety conscious 

 
Career Progression? Our client is looking for someone keen for long-term employment that can grow with the company. You will start with a temp-to-perm 6 month contract with the view to be taken onto their books permanently afterwards. Hours: 7am – 3:30pm Mon-Fri
