The Role The Workshop Mechanic role is responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services. These tasks include pre-delivery, planned maintenance, repairs and service to both our client's fleet and customer owned equipment.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out vehicle servicing, & inspections
Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions
Field service reporting on completed maintenance jobs
Ability to diagnose & action mechanical faults
Undertake mechanical repairs
Ability to work on LPG, petrol and diesel systems
Good working knowledge of brake systems and tyre/wheel changes
Perform safety inspection on machines prior to being released back to the work floor.
About You:
Current Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Must hold a current forklift license
Experience & knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems
Experience & knowledge of fault diagnostics and software
Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
