Full-time | Immediate Start We’re on the lookout for a qualified Fitter / Service Tech to join our client’s team. If you’ve got hands-on mechanical experience and like the idea of working with rotating equipment in a well-organised workshop.
What you’ll be doing:
Pulling apart mechanical components for servicing and repairs
Reporting what needs fixing and what parts are needed
Rebuilding and testing equipment to spec, using manuals and proper procedures
Working with tools and mechanical gear every day – you’ll need to know your way around them
Sticking to safe work practices and OH&S procedures
Occasionally heading out to customer sites for installs, repairs or fault finding
Keeping paperwork and reports up to date – especially after jobs and site visits
What we’re looking for:
Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent
Solid experience with rotating machinery and mechanical repairs
Good diagnostic skills and mechanical knowledge
Comfortable using hand tools, overhead cranes, and other workshop gear
Current Forklift & Driver’s Licence – essential
Able to use a computer and fill out job reports properly
Bonus if you’ve completed your HSC and worked with overhead cranes before
