The Resident Maintenance Technician (Mechanical or Electrical), will carry out planned, unplanned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across a range of automated equipment. Your work ensures the smooth operation of the site and ongoing customer satisfaction

The Role
The Resident Maintenance Technician (Mechanical or Electrical), will carry out planned, unplanned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across a range of automated equipment. Your work ensures the smooth operation of the site and ongoing customer satisfaction
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment.
- Perform daily system audits.
- Conduct mechanical and/or electrical breakdown maintenance.
- Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies.
- Undertake mechanical repairs and component replacements.
- Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating closely with team members and other departments.
- Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.
- Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean.
- Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH&S regulations.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
- Trade-qualified in either Mechanical or Electrical discipline (Cert III or above)
- Hands-on experience maintaining equipment in automation, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Comfortable with component removal, replacement, and refit
- Experience working with belts, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, power supplies
- Desirable: Basic familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and automated systems
- Valid driver’s license
Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, and police check.
What's in it for you?
- Shift Schedule
2 Weeks of days 7am to 3pm
2 Weeks of afternoons 4pm to 12pm - Weekend work available through the course of the month. Additional hours worked are paid at relevant OT rates.
- Salary: $90,000 - $95,000k p/a + Super
- Training and Development provided from Day 1 on company automation equipment.
