Rail Car Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Nowergup, WA
Salary: $105,000 to $115,000 p/a + Super
Fixed Term Role: till December 2026
Working Hours: 7am - 3:00pm (with occasional calls out of hours)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive Cleaning Supervisor with at least 1 - 2 years supervisory or management experience, ideally in either transportation, fleet, supermarkets, government buildings or hospitals.
The role will see you take responsibility for all associated cleaning and presentational responsibilities within a busy, fast paced transportation / rail business. You will be responsible for ensuring the Rail assets are each day clean, tidy and ready for service.
You will also be responsible for managing adhoc cleaning requirements as they occur. It will suit someone that can build good working relationships with internal stakeholders as the external cleaning contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate cleaning schedules for railcars and facilities to ensure timely, contract-compliant completion of tasks, including collaboration with cleaning contractors and other departments.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including cleaning schedules, asset maintenance updates, job packs, and forecasts in the Asset Management System.
- Ensure safety compliance by identifying hazards, reporting incidents, enforcing PPE use, performing risk assessments, and contributing to a Zero Harm culture.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives by adhering to environmental policies, reporting incidents, and promoting best practices in cleaning operations.
- Uphold quality standards through routine inspections, managing non-conformances, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Contribute to broader operational goals by supporting project work, being available for emergency callouts, and participating in continuous improvement and multi-skilling initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
- Planning and Scheduling – Ability to effectively coordinate and prioritise cleaning activities, manage resources, and align with contract and operational requirements.
- Communication and Stakeholder Coordination – Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams, contractors, and supervisors, ensuring clear direction and updates.
- Attention to Detail and Record-Keeping – Skilled in maintaining accurate records, updating asset management systems, and preparing reports and job packs.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making – Capable of identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and making timely, informed decisions under pressure.
- Safety, Quality, and Environmental Awareness – Deep understanding of WHS, quality control, and environmental policies, with a proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement.
