Job description

2XM Recruit are currently looking for Mechanical Trade Assistant with strong technical knowledge of Hydraulic components.

Mechanical Trade Assistant

Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspection activities to identify faults and deficiencies
  • Perform preservation, maintenance, and repair on mechanical components 
  • Take ownership of their own quality of work
  • Take ownership of their own HSE behaviour and assessments
Requirements:  
  • Mechanical / hydraulic and/or electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Previous fixed plant mechanical or hydraulics experience an advantage
  • Preservation and maintenance experience an advantage
  • Hands on tooling experience (hand tooling and power tooling)
  • The ability to safely use all kinds of tooling
  • Attention to detail when performing the work
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Computer literate
  • The ability to perform ongoing medium to high physical work
  • Valid forklift ticket
  • Valid driving license, Class C
