are seeking a talented, ambitious and proactive Pre-Contract Commercial Advisor to take a key role within the WA business unit leading the charge to secure additional large lump sum construction projects.

As a Pre-Contracts Commercial Advisor, you will be responsible for evaluating, strategizing, and negotiating contracts in the pre-contract phrase. This Perth based role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the projects from the start of the process to contract finalisation.
 
Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of potential contracts, assessing risk and opportunities and financial implications across large lump sum Construction projects.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including sales, legal, and finance teams to develop commercial strategies and proposals.
  • Evaluate contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support the negotiation process to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining strong relations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes and market development to anticipate potential impact on commercial decisions.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Building & Construction Law, along with appropriate professional experience (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial, contract management, or related roles
  • Large Construction lump-sum projects experience – essential
  • Experience across SMP/E&I discipline – highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract law and negotiation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, detail-orientated with a focus on accuracy and precision.
