Project Manager - Travel Demand Management
  • $118.75 - $131.25 per hour + Super
  • 12 month contract
  • Sydney CBD + WFH

Client Overview

The primary purpose of the role is to commission, manage and deliver the implementation of defined transport strategies and initiatives  that contain and sustain travel demand and address issues such as congestion and disruption in relevant precincts and corridors. In addition, the role contributes to the analysis of sustainable public and active transport mobility solutions to inform transport and precinct development plans and uses behavioural science techniques to create travel behavioural change and promote more sustainable ways of moving in and around Sydney.

Key Accountabilities of the role:
  • Live the NSW Public Sector and organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the organisation and customers.
  • Manage and review data, statistics and information to gain understanding of customer movements, drivers and stakeholder needs, and develop creative initiatives to improve journey management and shifts in perceptions and travel behaviours.
  • Undertake research, planning and delivery of fit for purpose travel demand solutions such as demand management and customer behaviour strategies, based on key learnings and for precincts, businesses and communities.
  • Manage the implementation of the Travel Demand Management program to foster sustainable behavioural changes that address traffic congestion and disruption and improve travel demand outcomes for key precincts, including the Sydney.
  • Act as a thought leader, remaining abreast of current and emerging demand management and mobility issues and trends, including domestic and international best practice, innovative approaches, and opportunities to support business objectives and position the TDM team as a Centre of Excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex transport programs.
