Location: East Perth, WA
Salary: $75,000 p/a + Super

Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Are you a self-motivated individual with a strong administrator background and, exposure to Purchasing / Procurement / Materials?
Do you enjoy working with internal stakeholders to ensure parts/products are available, in line with project/production plans?

About the Role:
Great opportunity to join the Rail Industry! This role is based at a Rail Depot in East Perth, supporting the onsite maintenance team of Mechanical Fitters and Electricians, to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to the Perth Passenger Trains.
The role will see you responsible for procuring / purchasing goods from a range of suppliers, either to align supply with project demand or, on an adhoc basis in the event reactive maintenance requirements arise. You will also be responsible for looking after the onsite stores, responsible for material, consumable and PPE management. One a week, you’ll run a stock take to ensure stock accuracy.
The role will suit someone that works autonomously and under their own steam. It will be working closely with a Procurement Specialist onsite and, with the head of procurement, based at another site location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support procurement operations by maintaining registers, templates, and documentation, processing purchase orders, and assisting with contract performance and supplier compliance.
- Coordinate reporting and administrative tasks including the preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, presentations, and procurement-related correspondence.
- Monitor stock inventory and materials, assist with inventory levels, cycle counts, and ensure accurate labelling and documentation across storage areas.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to manage requisitions, supplier onboarding, and insurance compliance, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Assist with warehousing and dispatch duties, including goods receipt, shelf-life monitoring, forklift operation, and warehouse upkeep.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and clear communication across all procurement, materials, and logistics activities to support business operations.
What You’ll Need:
- Ideally, you will have worked in an Engineering or Manufacturing stores / procurement environment previously, this will give you the ability to understand the parts and products being worked with.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ideally, some sort of ERP / MRP system experience (SAP, Maximo, etc)
- Ability to pass a Rail Medical and, Drug and Alcohol Test.
- Valid C Class Driver’s License.
- Forklift Ticket is highly desirable but not essential.
