2XM are excited to be partnering with a leading data centre services provider to recruit Electrical or HVAC qualified Service Technicians. In this role, you support a broad team of qualified technical staff responsible for the maintenance, repair and response of critical services and systems covering Electrical, Mechanical, Fire. The Services Technician role will be the first to respond to alerts and alarms generated by our electronic systems and determine if escalation is required to third party speciality contractors. In this role you will be required to work on a rotational 12-hour shift roster 2 days - 2 nights - 4 off.
Skills & Responsabilities:
Manage all site critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services with no disruption to client’s or standard business operations.
Utilise electronic monitoring system to proactively control site conditions, respond to alerts and alarms, generator reports and assist in root cause analysis.
Primary technical trouble-shooter for critical services issues.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Ability to speak confidently and communicate clearly with management and customers
Ability to work well under pressure in the event of a system failure.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Australian Trade qualification (Electrical or HVAC/Refrigeration)
MUST be able to pass National Police Check & NV1 Security Clearance
Must be able to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol
Critical facilities experience highly regarded not essential
Prior Experience operating Building Management Systems or Energy Management Systems desirable
Exposure to data centre equipment advantageous
Ability to be available for on call remote technical support, as need arises
