Site Safety Coordinator
Permanent 
Calder Park, Melbourne 
The main objective of this role is to provide specialized guidance and support in safety management. Collaborating closely with the Project Site Team and clients, you will ensure strict adherence to safety compliance requirements while implementing the Management System and relevant Project HSEQ Management Plans for specific projects.

Position Requirements
  • Provision of safety-related advice to site teams during daily operations.
  • Implementation of policies and procedures at the site level.
  • Oversight of site activities to ensure compliance with WHS procedures.
  • Support for project team compliance and data input in Procore.
  • Conducting internal safety inspections and assisting in developing solutions based on findings.
  • Coordination with external/client safety representatives and addressing external inspection findings.
  • Reviews of SWMS (initial and periodic) and pre-start inspections of plant and equipment.
  • Collation and review of plant paperwork.
  • Assistance with site-specific safety requirements such as Traffic Control and Rail safety compliance.
  • Ensuring site compliance with legislative requirements including WHS Act, WHS Regulation, CoP, Rail Safety Nat Law, and NSW Health orders.
  • Facilitation of toolbox talks, pre-starts, weekly site inspections, task observations, and permits.
  • Participation in project team meetings (internal/external) and emergency drills.
  • Review and update of site-specific emergency evacuation plans and procedures.
  • Incident reporting internally and externally through INX/Procore where necessary.
  • Collaboration with management on safety findings and drafting safety alert notifications.
  • Compilation of monthly safety statistics and assistance in developing project management plans and methodologies.
  • Support in Level 5 applications, supporting documents, and onsite compliance.
  • Weekly liaison with the Construction Safety Lead on all HSEQ matters and reporting to the Construction Director for HR matters.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proficiency in WH&S Act 2011, WH&S Regulation 2017, Rail Safety (Adoption of National Law) Regulation 2018, and other pertinent legislation, standards, and obligations related to safety in construction.
  • Degree, Certificate IV, or diploma in WHS or similar tertiary qualification.
  • Must have Rail and Construction experience .
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Safety Act & Regulations, Legislations, and Codes of Practices.
  • Eligibility to obtain rail certifications - preference
  • Competency in Microsoft suite of programs.
