If skilled in any of the duties below, consider applying
Review drawings & specifications to determine job requirements
Select correct materials for the job to be cut
Mark out material such as steel plate, pipe, PFC etc in preparation for cutting or bending
If required bend items to specifications on drawings by using a press or heating where required
Preparing items using power or hand tools ready for assembly
Measure & examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications before welding
Weld components & framework using a variety of welding processes
Inspect completed works & grind, sand, polish to required finish using hand & power tools
Skills and experience
Trade certification (Cert III in Fabrication Trade or relevant experience)
3 years' experience in the trade is desirable
Motivated, hardworking and a team player
Strong commitment towards safety and quality
Ability to pass a medical if required
Forklift and EWP are desirable but not essential
Structural steel experience is desirable; MIG, Arc + Flux-Core welding.
