Field Service Technician
Permanent, Full Time Opportunity
Western Suburbs of Melbourne – Truganina Area
Working Hours
7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (38 hours/week)
Overtime likely – covering sick leave, breakdowns, and occasional weekend support

The Role
This role has become available due to an internal promotion. As a Field Service Technician, you will carry out planned maintenance, attend breakdowns, and provide coverage across a variety of customer sites in VIC. Travel within VIC and interstate is required intermittently. There will also be opportunities to support sites in New Zealand as well.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan maintenance tasks and carry out agreed PPM of automation equipment according to schedule
- Carry out breakdown maintenance
- Provide coverage at resident sites when team members are away
- Support daily operations at customer sites in case of incidents
- Create reports and SOPs
- Repair and replace components as required
- Respond to callouts
- Maintain company equipment and property in good condition
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement and system optimisation
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and company policies
- Communicate regularly with your manager and team to ensure smooth service delivery
- Assist mechanical and installation teams if required
- Participate in training and development locally, interstate, and overseas
- Other tasks and responsibilities as reasonably directed
Skills, Experience, Qualifications
- Electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence
- Self-motivated and adaptable to different sites and customer needs
- Able to deal with customer enquiries and, be calm under pressure
- Valid drivers license
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to travel within VIC and interstate as required
- Flexible with working hours and shift rosters
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Willingness to complete company training and learn new systems
- Curious and solutions-focused mindset
- Strong communication and professional conduct
Desirable:
- Knowledge of PLCs
- Experience within maintenance, automation or robotics (not essential)

What’s in it for you?
- Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 + Super
- Company vehicle, fuel card and tooling all provided
