2XM Recruit are actively searching for a Human Resources Manager to join a leading Engineering Solutions business in Padstow.

Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Padstow (office move to Leppington mid 2024)
Job type: Permanent
Salary: Circa $130,000 plus Super

Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Recruitment: Source and assist managers in finding suitable candidates for various positions. This includes liaison with job boards, recruitment agencies, and conducting interviews.
  • Employee Onboarding: Handle new employee onboarding processes, including reference checks, police checks, contract preparation, and induction.
  • Apprenticeship Management: Oversee the apprenticeship program, including sourcing new apprentices and ensuring the welfare of existing ones in collaboration with supervisors and external providers.
  • Learning and Development: Work closely with managers and supervisors to identify and coordinate required training. Stay updated on necessary licenses (e.g., EWP, Forklift).
  • Performance Management: Support managers in completing annual performance appraisals using established processes. Provide suggestions for improvements as appropriate.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee issues promptly, including poor work performance or inappropriate behaviors. Assist managers in handling grievance and disciplinary matters professionally.
  • Compliance and Preparedness: Monitor the employment relations landscape to ensure company is well-prepared for any regulatory changes (e.g., recent visa updates).
  • Remuneration and Benefits: Manage annual salary/wage reviews, making recommendations based on labor market conditions. Handle ad-hoc changes resulting from promotions or other reasons. Promote benefits such as salary packaging/novation and assist with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Workplace Health and Safety: Collaborate with HSEQ managers to prioritize workplace health and safety. Manage worker compensation claims and conduct investigations into any serious accidents.
Experience needed:
  • HR experience in a blue-collar environment (e.g. factory, warehouse etc)
  • Experience recruiting
  • Car driver (due to office location)
  • Degree (not essential)
